Easy DIY Fall Wreath From Dollar Tree!
Do you enjoy finding beautiful holiday decor on a budget? Are you a DIYer when it comes to holiday decor for your home? If you answered yes to these questions then you will love this easy DIY Fall wreath tutorial!
The florals and picks used to decorate this wreath are from the Dollar Tree! So not only is this wreath stupid simple to make but it’s super cheap as well! But the best part is that there is NO HOT GLUE required to make this wreath!
And if you have double doors like me, then you will definitely appreciate a low-cost Fall wreath! So, let’s get right into the tutorial!
1. Start With A Grapevine Wreath
A grapevine wreath is essential for this easy DIY Fall wreath because we will be using the gaps in between the vines to stick our picks and florals through. Therefore eliminating the need for hot glue to hold everything in place.
You can find very affordable grapevine wreaths at Michaels, Walmart, or craft store near you.
This is actually the same 18″ grapevine wreath I used to make my patriotic wreath! I just took out the florals from the 4th of July wreath and voila! I have a brand new canvas to work on!
And that’s the best thing about doing these DIY wreaths without hot glue. You can easily reuse them and change them out through the seasons and years.
Which beats having dozens of holiday wreaths in your garage or attic! Especially if you have double doors!
2. Shop Dollar Tree Florals and Picks
Dollar Tree is my go-to shop when doing DIY wreaths because it has everything I need and it’s super affordable! Dollar Tree has a large selection of Fall florals and picks right now.
Shop $1 Floral Supplies for Every Occasion!Which makes it pretty difficult to choose which ones you want to add to your grapevine wreath. You can choose the ones I got or you can pick your own! Have fun with it!
My Dollar Tree Florals:
- 3 Mum | Chrysanthetheme bushes (in the cream color)
- 4 light wheat bushes
- 2 dark wheat bushes
- 2 Velvet Pumpkin Picks
- 1 bag of berry picks
If you did your math then you figured out that this was 12 dollars total! Can’t get better than that folks!

Cut the tags out of all your Dollar Tree florals and picks. Then cut the stems of your floral bushes at about 2 1/2 to 3 inches below the flowers.
I only had to cut the stems of the cream chrysanthemums. All the picks and wheat bushes were left as is! Can this DIY Fall wreath get any easier?
On to the next step!
4. Place The Florals On Your Wreath
This is by far my favorite part! Putting your thought-out design to practice! I suggest you start off with 3 florals on the bottom center of your wreath and slowly work your way around it.
Simply poke the floral stems through the gaps of your grapevine wreath. How easy is that!
The best part is that if you don’t like the placement of your flowers you can easily take them out and re-arrange them! You can’t easily do this when using hot glue! Which is why I love this method so much better!
I rearranged the mums several times (even after everything else was on the wreath) until I got it to look how I had envisioned it.
5. Add The Picks
Once I had a few flowers in I decided it was time to start adding some picks for a layered look.
I added the wheat bushes first (2 light wheat bushes and 1 dark wheat bush on each side). Again, simply poking the stem of the wheat bush at an angle into the vines of the wreath.
Then I finished placing the flowers on top of those to hide their stems.
Lastly, I put the velvet pumpkin picks (1 on either side).
And the berry picks around the pumpkin picks.
6. Hang The Wreath On Your Door!
Once your wreath looks just right you are ready to hang that beauty on your front door for the world to enjoy! Your friends won’t believe how much you spent on this luscious Fall wreath!
