If you love a traditional red Christmas color but want to add some touches of blue for an elegant Ralph Lauren Christmas vibe then you have come to the right place!

The key to achieving the Ralph Lauren Christmas look is adding touches of deep blue to classic holiday decor, giving it an extra layer of richness and charm.

So I came up with four simple ways to add touches of blue to my traditional red and gold Christmas decor—without spending a lot on new decorations. And today, I’m excited to share them with you!

1. Blueberries

A super easy way to add some blue is with blueberries! No, not real blueberries! Faux blueberry picks and stems are the most elegant way to add touches of blue to your traditional Christmas decor in my opinion. The best part about this is that you can place them anywhere! You can add them to your Christmas stems, wreaths, garlands, and Christmas tree!

I placed these super realistic blueberry stems in my Christmas garlands for the perfect pop of blue!

You can also put blueberry fillers in your Christmas bowl decor!

I love these blueberry accents so much I might incorporate them every year!

2. Blue Plaid Pillow Covers

Another simple way of incorporating touches of blue to your traditional Christmas decor is with pillows!

Plaid pillows at Christmas are my go-to. They bring a timeless charm and capture the cozy, nostalgic feeling of holidays past.

I already had my classic red plaid and red velvet pillow covers so I simply mixed in green-and-blue plaid and rich blue velvet pillows for a fresh, layered look.

I also got this gorgeous green-and-blue plaid blanket which tied everything very nicely!

Remember the key word here is TOUCHES of blue. So even though my pillows look red and green as a whole, those blue plaid accents add just the right amount of Ralph Lauren vibes that we are going for here.

3. Blue Ribbon

Ribbon is a great way to easily incorporate ANY color you want to your Christmas decor because you can literally put it EVERYWHERE! Just tie pretty bows all around your Christmas home! Think wreaths, garlands, swags, Christmas trees, candle holders, entryway hooks, cutting boards, the options are endless!

I wanted to add some touches of blue to my Christmas tree without having to get all new ornaments that not only cost a lot of money but also take up space in my garage.

So I got this navy blue ribbon and tied a bow around the floating candles on my Christmas tree and on the tips of random needles as well!

Since this is a real Christmas tree, I decided to splurge on new warm white and multicolor lights this year. The mix of red, blue, green, and yellow was absolutely stunning and created the perfect nostalgic, old-fashioned Christmas glow. Not to mention it brought in an extra touch of blue to my Christmas decor!

I could have added more blue ribbon in all the places I previously mentioned but I wanted to keep the traditional red Christmas look above all. So I mixed in burgundy red ribbon throughout most of my home.

4. Blue Wrapping Paper

The last and most versatile way to incorporate touches of blue to your Christmas decor is with wrapping paper.

Initially I was looking into plaid Christmas wrapping paper like these to give off the perfect Ralph Lauren Christmas vibe.

But then I saw this gorgeous vintage blue wrapping paper on Amazon and I knew it was the one!

I included a mixture of kraft paper and blue wrapping paper to match. And to include a touch of traditional red Christmas I added burgundy red ribbon and the cutest red Santa tags I found at TJ Maxx! I found these similar tags online. To top it all off, these tiny bells add an elegant touch as well.

So there you have it! My top 4 easy and affordable ways to add touches of blue to your Christmas decor. You really don’t need much! These simple blue touches to your traditional red Christmas will give off the perfect Ralph Lauren vibes that are so in right now!
