Switching out seasonal decor is always a bit challenging. Transitioning from Summer to Fall decor is no different. There’s always the awkward time in-between the two seasons where you’re not sure what the decor should be.
So today I want to show you 3 easy ways to SLOWLY transition from Summer to Fall Decor without bringing out all the pumpkins yet!
1. NEUTRAL THROW PILLOWS AND BLANKETS
The first thing I like to do when I’m switching out my Summer decor is to replace my bright and colorful throw pillows and blankets with neutral ones.
You can start incorporating some Fall colors in there as well!
The orange and olive green pillow covers still feel neutral and subtle. And the knit textured throw pillow cover gives the space a cozy feel.
The color block throw blanket has a cozy texture as well, making it a perfect decorative accent for those breezy Fall evenings!
2. NEUTRAL FALL FLORALS
Another great way to start transitioning your Summer decor to Fall decor is by simply changing out your florals!
I love to decorate with faux florals because let’s face it, they last a lot longer! All I have to do is store away all of my Summer florals and replace them with Fall florals!
I can easily go from hydrangeas and peonies to maple leaves and thistles!
Neutral-colored florals will make the transition even smoother! So don’t go all out with beautiful reds and oranges YET!
Unless you want to go full Fall! Then go for it!
3. FALL SCENTED CANDLES
And last but not least, you can easily transition to Fall decor with Fall scented candles!
I am a bit picky with candle smells. But when it comes to Fall scented candles, you really can’t go wrong!
I got this Sand And Fog scented candle and it smells AMAZING!
Candles add to the decor and give your home that cozy feel without screaming FALL!
